Vehicle Coverage:

This scanner is specifically designed to work with all OBD II compliant vehicles (all 1996 and newer cars & trucks that are OBD II compliant.)  Federal Law required, in 1996, that all cars and light trucks, sold in the U.S., must be OBDII equipped.

To see if your car is OBD II compliant, please look at the following two items:

  1. Locate the 16 Pin OBD II connector.  This connector can be found, on most vehicles, under the dashboard of the driver side.  Some may be located behind the ashtry.
  2. Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information Label, located under the hood or by the RADIATOR on most vehicles.  If the vehicle is compliant, the label will designate "OBD II Certified" and will have a 16-pin OBD II Standard Socket.
Easy Operating Steps:

  • Make sure car is off
  • Plug the scanner into the cable connector...it should read...Memoscan ME380
  • Turn the key to the one position, but DO NOT start the engine
  • Press the Enter Key (which is actually the Select key)
  • The scanner will start scanning for the correct protocol

Note:  If you press the enter key before the key is turned to the on positon, you will receive a linking error message.

Includes:

  • OBDII Scanner with Cable
  • User / Code Manual - DTC Codes and Descriptions
Supports the following Protocols:
  • SAE J1850 PWM
